These three (lead-free) toy trains look very similar until you spend some time comparing them. If you’re a toddler, more specifically my son, you know there is a world of difference between each train.
That’s because each train is a character in the Thomas the Tank Engine stories.
As my son and I purchased the train on the left today, it occurred to me that a story is as powerful as a three-year-old is persuasive. Why else would I buy a toy this close to Christmas that is almost identical to two others we already own?
Um, wait, don’t answer that question.

Ah, Gordon, Edward and Thomas. They sleep in bed with my son along with 5700 Thomas books. :)
