Nope, the leading expeditors are not blogging..not that I am aware of anyway. But Bloglines just announced that you can track your packages through your Bloglines Feeds.
Now, you can have Bloglines track the status of your UPS, FedEx, and USPS packages. From your My Feeds page, click the Add link in the left pane. Then, click the Package Tracking link in the right pane. From there you can enter tracking numbers for UPS, FedEx, and USPS packages. Also, you can do a search on a specific tracking number. Entering a tracking number will create a subscription in your account that is updated whenever the status of your package changes.
If it absolutely, positively HAS to be there overnight, you can rest assured your media kit, tchotchke or high-resolution images have arrived safely to your editor without missing a second of your precious RSS feeds. Now if only RSS could clean my oven.
Is it me, or shouldn't Fed Ex or UPS blog? There have to be some great travel stories or behind the scene details these folks could provide the blogosphere. More importantly, I am willing to bet there is an audience out there interested in what they might have to say...top-down or bottom-up.
I am a UPS employee and I love to share information about UPS' inner workings. I post here and there about the ins and outs of the system, how it works and so on. Feel free to stop by and read what I have as I'm just getting started. http://www.rubinoj.com

UPS lost 1 box of a 4 box shipment of mine and although one waybill had the insurance amount on it the other 3 did not. The first indication from UPS is that they are not going to pay the insurance for the lost box in the 4 box shipment. Is there anyone out there hosting a blog about this type of cop-out from UPS.

I have gotten to the point where I insist on some other shipper than UPS.
I live in a gated community where I am in charge of the gates and who gets access. UPS has an access code specific for them, and the normal driver uses it. We do not have a general access code as most complexes seem to like. Those that do that might as well not have gates at all!
When UPS has a fill in driver, that driver is not given the code by anyone at UPS. We have spoken to UPS local and UPS corporate and they are TOTALLY incompetent!!! All packages sent to us have the unit number on the package and they can go to the gate call box, scroll to the unit number on the display and call us.
When we have a tracking number, we often see a comment about not having the correct address or unit number. When we have gone to them to pick up a package after they sent a post card on (usually printed so faint no one can read it) the package HAS a VALID, CLEAR, and highly READABLE address.
Apparently, some of their drivers don't speak or read English!
When it's this bad now, what's going to happen in the next month when they have to triple the number of driver to cover Christmas?

I've never had a problem with either UPS or FedEx. I ship multiple packages a week and my only complaint with them both is that their rates change depending on destination, weight, and even the day you ship it has to do with it. I don't know why they can't have a constant rate. My friend told me about www.shippingsidekick.com which works great and compares the prices side by side so I know exactly which one is cheaper on every day. Now I always get the cheapest price and my customer always get their package.
