Curating Twitter
For a brief period of time, I tried tracking some of the more well-known Twitter tools using a Google Doc. I stopped this futile effort when the list numbered 100. Luckily, around the same time, oneforty launched.
oneforty tracks Twitter applications for everything from profile analysis, ranking and sentiment analysis to measuring influence, network analysis and directories. This in and of itself underscores the value of an Open API.
In addition to helping track all of these applications, oneforty makes it easy to learn more about them. oneforty categorizes them and, through Toolkits like mine, allows users to curate the various sites into helpful lists.
Like minded folks including Steve Rubel, Brian Solis and David Armano have created toolkits around their topics of choice. But there is a wide variety of lists focusing on music, non-profits, startups and more. Check it out and create your own.
