Coffee Cups Runneth Over: Advertising/Design Goodness
Coffee cups are having a strange influence on ads lately as companies try and compete with Star-Go see Akeelah!-bucks and Dunkin’ Donuts. From visually entertaining concepts (with horribly negative connotations) to this ad for a plastic surgeon, we’re seeing some creative uses of the cup. (Hat tip to Adrants and Andy Bosselman).

Bravo to Launch Canceled Shows on Broadband: TV Week
Web 2.0 seems to be creating a 16th minute of fame as it fragments media even further. Networks have to fill the broadband pipe with something after all. MTV is already streaming some shows simultaneously. Bravo is giving cancelled shows, and fallen stars like Joan Rivers, a second chance. “Bravo said it will launch BrilliantButCancelled.com, a site dedicated to short-lived series with devoted audiences, on May 23.” I predict we’ll also start to see pilot programs that were never picked up by a network.
